Not coming from any surface but just flying through air, birds’ feet don’t carry a surface’s charge, thus feet don’t create an electric potential with electric wire or a conflicting electric charge upon landing on an electric wire – Net electric potential between feet and wire is zero. And so there is no cause for wire electrons to turn interactive with the zero charged feet, no energy is created, no zapping the bird.
